  1. The lid was opened a good portion of the time as I was trying to really crisp the bacon. So no surprise that the handle got hot 😁
  2. Nice looking loaf !!!!! I'm still afraid to try my bread in the KK. I'm sticking to the oven for now
  3. My butcher had some nice steak tips on a stick and the jalapeño and shishito peppers were fresh picked from a friends garden. The peppers were stuffed with cream cheese and cheddar then wrapped in history smoked bacon. This was my first multi level hot and fast cook. Next time I’ll wrap the handle of the KK with a hand towel, it got more than a little warm lol Also used the smoke pot with the KK Coffee Wood chunks. I was happy with the results 😁

My go to is Wicked Good, it is somewhat easy to get around here. If I can’t get that the I’ll get Rockwood. And a Looftlighter for starting it.

  10. Franklin does a Masterclass, I bought it. It was extremely informative and when complete you can download the PDF and go back and watch the call again anytime you like. I think i have watched it 4 times lol Aaron Franklin Masterclass
  11. A friends garden is producing veggies now so decided to chop up a few different varieties of squash, potato and bell pepper. I let the chicken spin for awhile naked then put the drip pan and veggies under. Made for a real tasty dinner
  12. That is a great looking lunch @Troble !!!!
  13. Decided to try a smoke pot and the pork lard and butcher paper method for ribs the other day. Everyone loved the lighter milder smoke taste and the moisture in the ribs was nice too. I'm sure i will try that method again someday. But the smoke pot is here to stay, i have it in again today with a chicken spinning

    What a beautiful meal !!!!!!!!
  15. Many of us have done the same, have it arrive only to have it sit in the garage for a few days before being moved into place. Trust me, it is worth the wait 😁

  17. Thanks for the info, I have a PR being delivered from Snake River farms tomorrow. A nice Wagyu for my 60th birthday in September i wasn’t exactly sure how to go about it on the rotisserie but will be collecting as much information as possible between now and then 😁
  18. That is a great looking dinner Tony !!!!!!
  19. After a nice long walk this morning we decided it would be a nice day to spin a chicken in the KK. I took some small potatoes and fresh zucchini from the garden and put them in foil with chicken broth and placed that in the drip pan. We put the veggies in while getting a good heat soak going as I wanted to cook the chicken for the last 30 minutes with no pan under it to try and crisp the skin. After doing it that way I don’t see any reason why I couldn’t cook the chicken for the last 30 or even 40 minutes without a drip pan or foil at all under it. the entire cook was done at 400 F. We were really happy with the results, unfortunately I forgot to take plated pics but here is the chicken 😁
