  1. Re: Happy Find Bite your tongue. DJ is never off topic. He just creates a new forum category for whatever drivel he's spewing. In fact, here's our forum administrators reorganizing the forum once again:
  2. Re: Happy Find Huh? Why drag me into this? I've been behaving myself recently. Nicely structured sentence, BTW. You back on the pain killers, or has the announcement of the worldwide hops shortage got you down?
  3. I bet he could turn one heluva chess set.
  4. Why? Has LeadDog been reduced to scavenging road kill?
  5. Re: stoker issues Most of my problems, and there have been several, have been user error. I'm not a big time techie and I find the thing frustrating at times. But on a couple of occasions, I know it wasn't me. I called the manufacturer. They concurred and graciously replaced it without question even though the exchange period was over. But I'm not so sure I can trust the replacement either. It just seems to have a mind of its own.

    Hello

    Re: Hello Howdy. Welcome aboard.
  7. I sure am glad I clicked and studied this photo. It allows me to offer two little critiques and a comment: 1) Don't feed that kinda stuff to your dog. 2) If ya hafta feed that kinda stuff to your dog, don't do it on the carpet. 1) The color of your toenail polish is to die for!
  8. The careless words that all of us ex-K owners have uttered from time to time are usually intended for the owner and typically directed at his poor level of Customer Service. Or are intended for the forum buttcrust that has provided the Kompany cover for years and refuses to let anyone hold the Johnsons accountable for a shoddy design, shoddy workmanship and sooo many broken promises.
  9. If you're talking about this:http://www.snopes.com/science/mars.asp, no it's not. And, as far as the lunar eclipse, thanks for the photos cause we were overcast this AM.
  10. Interesting stuff. But, comparing your data with TNW's, the old CEL (#2 grade) outperformed this stuff in terms of ash production. It generated 10g of ash from 335g charcoal. Your new stuff generated 5g from 63g. Royal Oak produced 25g from 385g. The posKlump generated 45g/335 and 60g/385 on two burns. I'll let someone with a calculator do the long division, but it seems that this new stuff you're evaluating is in line with the RO in ash production.
  11. Welcome aboard. You'll do well here. Slurping the forum admin on your first post is always a good idea. It took me months to learn that . BTW, it was obvious you're from California. Your use of "ya'll" is atrocious. There are strict grammatical rules you need to learn before you attempt to use it again .

    ALERT!!!!

Lookout Deej, you don't know where that pig's been. I feel like I need some penicillin just looking at him. Addendum: Awe crap. That was my 600th post. Kinda sad. Shoulda used it on something better than that.
  13. This could be you, Deej: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=kYvZnTFpip0

    ALERT!!!!

U2Plt, I salute you. You're the only customer besides the Whiz to post your findings regarding recent charcoal from the Kamado Company. You may have kept others from being stuck with a potentially substandard product. Bravo! BTW #1: U2PLT, based on your post, I'm guessing you're not aware of the Kamado Fraud Forum, where TNW's review and the manufacturer's response have been the subject of considerable hilarity for the past 2&1/2 weeks. You may wish to check out the site: http://www.kamadofraudforum.org/ You may even recognize a few names. BTW#2: I hope you're not counting on selling your pepper mills via the K forum in the future. Whiz: Awesome addendum to your review. Concrete (heh) numbers only strengthen your review's subjective findings. Bravo x 2!
  15. Aren't you forbidden from using that charcoal? I'm pretty sure you weren't authorized.
  16. Re: Prime Angus Rib Eye Ahhh, didn't realize you were a devotee. Damned good stuff as long as you get a mild or medium char and don't scorch it. Even on cheaper steaks. Now if only I could afford steaks like that. USDA Choice or the regular CAB are all the budget allows.
  17. Re: Looks like the **other** extruded coconut charcoal Whew, that was close. Glad you weren't among the casualties. Some people have ordered 80 boxes of that stuff! I guess the only thing worse than waiting for 18 mos for some charcoal is receiving it. Poor bastards, in a couple of weeks they'll be begging for the moldy stuff.
  18. Re: Looks like the **other** extruded coconut charcoal Haven't I seen your name on the list of soon-to-be recipients? If so, my condolences. Let us know what you think. You might just have to dust off that KFF identity of yours.
  19. No, no, no. You ARE the Atlanta order. I'll get in on your order. Afterall, you're already the thermometer guy. You wear many hats, TC: Charcoal kkaptain, thermometer guy, kamado distributor. How do you do it all? Must be very efficient. Lemme know when and how much
  20. Guess I need to find out how to get a load of kk lump. Anyone have any plans for an Atlanta order?
  21. Looks like the **other** extruded coconut charcoal Looks like that **other** extruded coconut charcoal will be no competition at all. http://www.nakedwhiz.com/lumpdatabase/lumpbag62.htm And I thought Dennis was a putz for letting someone beat him to the market. I stand corrected.
  22. Gotta agree here. POSK's aren't meant to have gas.* Sounds like God's will to me. Don't fight it or you may get smited (smote??? smitten??? nah, definitely not smitten). *actually no ceramic-type cooker should have have gas.
  23. "Objects in mirror may be closer than they appear" Y'all might wanna shut your pieholes.
