DennisLinkletter Posted November 29, 2015 Report Posted November 29, 2015 They are going to take some fine tuning/adjusting but I'm thrilled with the basic look and feel. I'd say it's a home run.. They are definitely heavy.. Whatcha ya think? 3
MacKenzie Posted November 29, 2015 Report Posted November 29, 2015 I think it's gorgeous. and it will look even better on my Pebbles;)
ckreef Posted November 29, 2015 Report Posted November 29, 2015 Very nice. They look like they belong in there. Charles - Prometheus 16.5", Cassiopeia 19" TT
ckreef Posted November 29, 2015 Report Posted November 29, 2015 I like the flame like cutouts. Would make for some interesting looking grill marks on a nice steak. Charles - Prometheus 16.5", Cassiopeia 19" TT
kjs Posted November 29, 2015 Report Posted November 29, 2015 Very nice to see the finished product, it looks really awesome.
GoFrogs91 Posted November 29, 2015 Report Posted November 29, 2015 Looks awesome Dennis! Nice work! Benton
DennisLinkletter Posted November 29, 2015 Author Report Posted November 29, 2015 For those who have not seen these, there will be three different versions and a solid griddle.. Meat, vegetables and fish. 1
tomahawk66 Posted November 29, 2015 Report Posted November 29, 2015 Will the traditional grates still be an option? May I ask the rational behind these, why are they better than traditional (the fish one makes sense to me) Regards, Oliver In Singapore. Soon to be the proud owner of a Cobalt Blue 32 😄
Bobbareeno Posted November 30, 2015 Report Posted November 30, 2015 These look great. When will they go on sale? Bob
CeramicChef Posted November 30, 2015 Report Posted November 30, 2015 Sign me up, Coach! Put me down for a griddle for TheBeast! Dennis, you never cease to amaze me. About the time other kamado manufacturers begging to copy features of your KKs, you take it to a whole new level! Seems to me the more they copy the hinge, the gasket, etc., the more they unwittingly admit the deficiencies in their design and they fall further behind. Very nicely done.

Soon to be the proud owner of a Cobalt Blue 32 😄 If I had to guess, the standard grates will stay the way they are, these new ones optional add ons. They'll be great for fish, veggies, or anything else small or delicate. They'll also be great for a skillet type of sear, burgers for instance. Grill Grates on steroids! Robert
egmiii Posted November 30, 2015 Report Posted November 30, 2015 Fish and veggies are the obvious beneficiaries of the new grates. Burners and hot dogs will be easier to flip on the meat grate, but I wouldn't buy it just for that. It becomes necessary once you've removed the main grate the put one of these in.
wilburpan Posted November 30, 2015 Report Posted November 30, 2015 Looks great! Personally, I’m still looking forward to a carbon steel version.
primeats Posted December 1, 2015 Report Posted December 1, 2015 I think the idea behind the flat grilling surface is to give a more carmelized surface area. This is what gives you that first taste of what you've grilled, the slight char that gives the rest of the item it's signature flavor. And the cool factor cannot be stressed enough!
tony b Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 Yo, David! Glad to see you posting again, buddy! Missed your great advice!
