Pasta and Sausage Casserole

Recommended Posts

Posted

Cooked some pasta and made homemade tomato sauce with tomatoes fresh from the garden.

Added these to a casserole along with some baked portabella mushrooms, 3 large Italian sausages, cottage cheese and Monterey Jack  Cheese.

I really like your cooks because they typically aren't the "standard" grill fare and it inspires me to move that direction. Do you usually use a charcoal that gives the extra dimension of flavor vs the oven?

Thanks everyone for your encouraging words. :) :drinkers: It was a fly by the seat of your pants recipe that worked out, they don't all. The sausages were precooked and very moist but low in fat. I made up for the fat with the cheese.;)

The last thing I want to do is cook in the kitchen stove, just how much fun is it to turn the knob open the door and put the food in the oven, I suggest not much. :smt077 Plus the heat in the KK is not the same as the kitchen oven.:)
