Same here. At least it's melting today before the bottom drops out of the thermometer on Wednesday. Don't need this to turn into ice.

Nicely done. Love braised meats! Now, if I could only get my damned SV mashed potato technique down! (see post in SV section).

As if I needed an excuse? @Aussie Ora - actually temperature wise, it's not that bad - yet! Cold front coming through this week to drop temps into the teens (F) at night. High on Thursday will only be 23F that would be MINUS 6C for you folks down under and across the northern border.

And the 'roos can thump out the bass line to Thunderstruck with their tails!

Way over my head! I'm perfectly happy to buy my bread at the Food Coop down the street - $2.99 for a sourdough boule, baked fresh everyday with organic, non-GMO flours, using a 30+ year old starter. Not even gonna try and compete with that.

Delicate balance between the pre-dinner cocktails and nailing the dinner! Nailed it, Charles!

Glad I cooked yesterday, today would not be so nice. First snow of the season. It's already 4+ inches and still snowing. Will probably end up well over 6" today. Nice to have a cover for your KK in this kind of weather. But, it is pretty and I have no place in particular to go today!

Did you tell him about our Forum and hopefully he'll post pics??

Possibly the cleverest use of beer kegs that I've seen, outside of making beer in them.

Seriously well executed. Glad the move went off without incident. Can't wait to see that first virgin cook! I bet your Seahawks buddy could polish off a whole pork butt by himself! Brings back memories of moving mine from the garage, up a similar flight of steps on a ramp to the living room, rolling it across the floor and out onto the deck. Instead of the chain-fall and come-alongs, we just used refrigerator moving straps and 5 burly guys (OK, 4 burly guys and fatboy me - LOL!)

Sweet. A big fan here, as well. I much prefer his later material, too. Sounds like they knew that it would be a big crowd and just went with a plan to manage it the best that they could. If everyone chatted him up, think how slow the line would have moved. -
But, if you buy the 6-pack, they are only $3.77 each. https://www.amazon.com/Whistlestop-Fried-Tomato-Batter-9-Ounce/dp/B00473UPN8 I won't jump into the deep end of the pool until I try it first.

Most of us went with the 4pm05. And as I posted elsewhere, Dennis makes the mounting bracket for the motor, not OneGrill. You should have gotten it with the other hardware (shafts, etc.) for the rotisserie basket. I hear yah, Dan. I'm equally torn between a spatchcocked bird on the upper grate and a rotisserie one. Each has its own subtle attributes. It's difficult for me to say that I like one better than the other, flavorwise. The spatchcocked one is definitely simpler to clean up after, for sure. Which reminds me that I still need to hit up Lowes and get that big plastic tube for soaking the grates, drip pan, and rotisserie basket in PBW.

Excellent. Looks like you jumped into the deep end of the pool right from the start - basket splitter, reverse sear; you got it going on!

The difference between chasing happiness and actually finding it. Dennis, sounds like you've found it. I'm envious.

Mine are "city coons." Regardless, I don't think I'm trying it anytime soon - À chacun son goût, as they say.
