MacKenzie Posted November 30, 2019 Report Posted November 30, 2019 Put my La Chamba clay pot to work today to make chili and it is going to be hot more ways than one on a cold winter day. 5
Bruce Pearson Posted November 30, 2019 Report Posted November 30, 2019 Looks good Mac, is there up there now?
Basher Posted December 1, 2019 Report Posted December 1, 2019 Mac that looks delish.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
Basher Posted December 1, 2019 Report Posted December 1, 2019 I am finding this rotisserie is an easy go to, set and forget to cook chooks or any lump of meat.Light the fire, spice the meat, then throw it over the fire. The smell is devine and the flavours haven’t let me down.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 7
Bruce Pearson Posted December 1, 2019 Report Posted December 1, 2019 Tasty looking bird and really moist I bet.
MacKenzie Posted December 1, 2019 Report Posted December 1, 2019 Bruce, winter is setting in early this year, it seems. Mon., Tues, and into Wed. it could be quite a mess with rain, prolonged periods of freezing rain and snow all possible. Let's hope it is all rain or all snow. 1
tony b Posted December 1, 2019 Report Posted December 1, 2019 Friends up in the UP of Michigan just got hit with almost 2 feet of snow. If this is the same storm, Mackenzie, it's a nasty one. Fortunately, it was just very windy and rainy here. 1 1
Bruce Pearson Posted December 1, 2019 Report Posted December 1, 2019 Mac I just reread my earlier post good thing you can read between the words I left out snow. Lol 1
MacKenzie Posted December 2, 2019 Report Posted December 2, 2019 Bruce, I thought you were just testing me. 1
benobas Posted December 3, 2019 Report Posted December 3, 2019 First successful reverse sear. Cote de boeuf with garlic, rosemary & thyme. I ditched the temperature probes and did it on time and touch and a bit of luck. Super fun to have the KK firing vs low & slow! 7
tony b Posted December 6, 2019 Report Posted December 6, 2019 We had an unseasonably warm day today (52F), which demanded dinner be grilled out. I actually cooked dinner comfortably in shirt sleeves! Dinner was a chicken breast with shawarma seasoning, curried rice and steamed broccoli. 4
MacKenzie Posted December 6, 2019 Report Posted December 6, 2019 (edited) Lucky weather break and delicious dinner. Edited December 6, 2019 by MacKenzie 1 1

tony b Posted December 6, 2019 Report Posted December 6, 2019 Nothing tricky, Bruce. Just this seasoning and chicken stock, cooked the basmati in the donabe rice pot. https://www.cubanfoodmarket.com/badia-sazon-tropical-with-annatto-coriander-35-oz-pack-of-2.html 1
tony b Posted December 7, 2019 Report Posted December 7, 2019 Tonight is the annual holiday party of my homebrewing club. Besides copious amounts of epic beers (lots of Imperial Stouts and Barleywines!), the food is always up to par, as well. This year I'm making "meat on a stick" again, but instead of Suya pepper beef (last year), this year is Asian spiced duck tenderloins with a glaze of cherry juice and hoisin sauce. Grilled direct @ 325F over chunks of cherry wood. 7
MacKenzie Posted December 8, 2019 Report Posted December 8, 2019 Tony, meat on a stick, looks and sounds delicious. 1
Tyrus Posted December 8, 2019 Report Posted December 8, 2019 (edited) That should go over well Toney, they look good and simply delish. I do believe after it's all gone and the masses are at your door you should have thought to park your butt close to an exit. Enjoy Meaning to say they'll only wish for more Edited December 8, 2019 by Tyrus 1
