tony b
Glad that I got in my cook last night. Karma's a bitch sometimes! Woke up this morning to a new 6" of the white stuff, on top of what we already had gotten on Saturday. At least it's sunny today and barely any wind, so snowblowing the drive and walk wasn't too terrible. Wind is supposed to pick up later, dropping the windchills below zero. So, probably not going to grill out tonight! 2
Tyrus
A winters eve meal. Like the way the foam clings to the side of the glass and the amber color is not transparent but opaque. A full bodied beer, delish

tony b
Not much more snow in the immediate forecast, but the temps have plummeted. Several days ahead where the High temp for the day won't break 0F!! Now that's brrrr! I see lots of indoor cooking in my future! 1 1
MacKenzie
We just went thru a wet and warm spell, freezing temps are approaching. Took advantage of the warm weather today to spin a pork loin.

The forecast was wrong (surprise!) and the snow storm didn't pan out this afternoon (we'll see if the overnight snow will be a make-up for the afternoon!) Fired up the KK to do a Mojo marinated pork tenderloin. Keep on grillin'!! Tony.. I know you use a cover but for those of you who don't.. If you are not cooking, it's really best to keep them covered. The cold or snow is not an issue but the repetitive freeze thaw cycles and if one does not maintain the integrity of the acrylic waterproof jacket, water getting into the insulation and freezing can be a problem. You will know if your acrylic jacket is leaking because it will blow steam vapor when taken over 550ºf.. 1

Steve M
Reverse seared a tritip from Porter Road. For an appetizer, I smoked a few fresh shrimp with a chipotle marinade and cooked up some bacon wrapped shrimp on the EVO. I also seared the tritip on the EVO. Also, a bonus breakfast pic from the EVO this morning.
MacKenzie
I finally figured out how to cut those blocks of wine barrel wood that I have without cutting my finger off with the hatchet. Smoking some Costello Tickler old cheddar and some boneless beef ribs. Ones the ribs are smoked they will go into a sous vide bath.;)

Tyrus
Some real nice lookin cooks there from Alimac,Steve, and Mac...good show and video. Like the knife Mac seems you should be in a Burmese jungle with that tool. One suggestion if you prefer the ax...grab an old set of tongs to hold the wood, keeps the the little piggies safe from danger
