  1. I have not been able to locate the genuine product in Canada but I some coco and coffee lump from Dennis for now. I haven't tried to get the product from Korin yet.
  2. We must have been reading or watching the same thing as I thought I also read or heard that.

" I am going back to my old favourite, the NY style from Serious Eats, now that I had a little side adventure. Then again I might do another side adventure, the Detroit Pizza.
  4. I needed flavour flavour for dinner, Peposo, should do it. Add some just picked spinach from the garden, add some rice and we have lift off.:)
  5. My Substitution Breakfast - pizza crust for toast, tomato sauce for cherry jam, fresh mozzarella for egg, and a side of toppings.
  6. Today I used my NY style Serious Eats pizza dough to make a naked pizza. Heated the KK and stone to 530F. Used an IR thermometer to check. Dough is just out of fridge, started it last evening. Made 2 dough balls. Pizza one with fresh mozzarella. Baking on KK. Done and ready for basil from the garden. Basil from the garden. Crumb view. Pizza 2 added more sauce and cheese this time. Pizza 2 on KK. Second pizza baked. This was a fun cook, but I miss my loaded pizza.
  7. I took this advice and got up and move from comfy chair in my ODK and lit my pizza cook fire. Now I can go back to where I was for a couple of hours. [emoji4][emoji41][emoji7]

  9. @Tony, what an awesome dinner, perfect. What a great way to have this fabulous dinner, outside on a summer's evening. "First, ckreef gets a shout out for his tip on getting this Japanese charcoal to stay lit on the yakitori grill. " I missed his tip would you mind directing me to it, please and thank you.

  11. I made Syzygies' Spanish Onion and Potato Casserole today, just didn't have the Marash Pepper but did add some heat. Served with previously grilled chicken and first batch of spinach for the season. I loved the casserole and will be doing it again and again. The spinach leaves were huge although they don't look like it in the pix. They were the size of my hand and I was a little concerned that they might be tough. I steamed the spinach and it was lovely. Plated.

  13. That was a great read, sounds like the Pizza Bible was the winner but if one decides to have pizza tonight then Nancy's dough would be a great way to manage that. All those pizza pixs have me wanting pizza, I guess I'll have to start a batch of dough. Usually I like to load my pies with ingredients but if I could do 2 pies then I could do one loaded and one Neopolitan.
  14. I totally agree, get the water on to boil, go to the garden and pick the corn. That is what I did when I grew it. Now that the raccoons steal it all I stopped growing it.[emoji17][emoji853][emoji852]
  15. I just came back from town and on the way I thought, "I bet that spice would be good on potato chips."That would be crisps to you, I think. Next time I make them I must sprinkle some on them.
  16. According to Tekobo, this is a milder version, so yours could be very hot.
  17. I just had to try some of that Suya spice on my leftover chicken. I can tell you I was cautious, better safe than sorry. This was tasty, I had to go back and put more Suya Pepper on my chicken. Only someone who has no bread left would make bread when it's 99F.
  18. Lucky you Bruce, I have some coco and coffee wood left also, mainly because I was hording it. Now I know what I'm burning in the Konro grill.
  19. I'll bet those beers were tasty. I had the window up so I could hear the snap crackle pop.:) It is 99F with the humidity factored in. One more day and this will be over, back to low 70s on Sat. and Sun.
