Thanks, Bruce, and yes those chive blossoms are edible. I have some garlic chives and they have a white blossom and are also edible. They bloom later in the season. As Tony says, they are really pretty.

I agree it is always fun to see what people from different locations are cooking.

I bet they did enjoy the thighs, everything looks sooooo delicioius. When my beans are ready I eat them everyday until I've had my fill. It takes about 2 weeks.

My garden work is just about done for a while and I celebrated with a KK rotisserie cook. Cornish hen was on the menu as well as macaroni salad. 1 hour @400F, I was expecting more colour but the Thermpen said it's done. Plated.

I made a loaf of my sour dough bread this evening. I added some chia seeds and pumpkin seeds. My secret weapon for the cook is - I couldn't find the chain to buy so what to do. I figured that if I covered my dough with this stainless steel bowl that would keep the moisture in for the first 10 mins. of the bake @500F. Lots of oven spring in this bake.

Bruce has big plans for this day and while I can't be there I'll be there in spirit enjoying every minute of it. He says, "I’m cooking a tri tip this Sunday for my birthday (75) sheeeesh where did the time go? Anyway I’ll be cooking it on my Traeger grill. I bought it a couple years before I got my KKand have never used it, so thought might as well give it a try, even though I kinda feel like a traitor to my beautiful KK. I’ll ask my daughter to make a rhubarb pie as a birthday present lol" I hope your day is a blast.

Jon, I did the same thing. I'd go into my Grandmother's garden and eat rhubarb while standing right beside the patch. Yum yum.
