  1. That's a pretty complete burn. How are you defining a full basket? The coal should at least go to the top rung of the basket, or more, as long as you're not interfering with the deflector. Lighting in more than one place isn't necessary, about 3/4" bottom, 2 full turns top should get you there pretty quickly. Rob
  2. If you got a lot of smallest, you could certainly blocked airflow enough to keep the temp down. Fuel+airflow=temperature. This could easily be the issue with the time to come to temp. The last bag of RO I used had a good bit of smalls in it, so you might pay attention to what goes into the charcoal basket. Rob
  3. I always take my pork to 205°, so 190°+ is no problem. As long as it pulled easily, that's all that matters. Keep the pics coming!! Rob
  4. We love our cookers for a reason. Make comments like nuprin's on other forums, you'll get laughed at, or something else. The fact is though, to a person, everyone on this forum, and then some, will say the same. KK's cook better, it's that simple. Rob
  5. I have a 23" 19" combo, and I'm very happy with it. The 19" handles very sports car like, I have no trouble using it for quick, just the two of us cooks. I do recommend a second kk whatever size you decide on. Rob
  6. Beautiful!! Program deleted. Rob
  7. As I said in another thread.....the grill has nothing to do with it. [emoji56][emoji56][emoji56] Rob
  8. Remember! The grill has nothing to do with it!![emoji56][emoji56][emoji56] Rob
  9. I've posted this once already, but it seems appropriate. Rob
  10. The instant the crate hits your driveway, a program imbedded in the grill pairs with whatever smart device you own, starting a timer. If the timer isn't deactivated, the program turns your KK into a single burner weber gasser. The ONLY way to halt this is by taking, and posting pics of your new grill on this forum for all of us to see. These pictures must include the crate as it arrives, the grill and accessories during the unpacking process, and finally, the new grill ready to go. You have been warned. Rob
  11. Are you aware of the embeded transformation protocol within every new KK? Rob
  12. Time starts to stand still now... Rob
  13. This has happened more than once. Hotels here in New Orleans have reported similar occurrences during some of the yearly festivals that are held here. People simply try to grill in the bathtub thinking the vent is enough to handle the smoke. Rob
  14. You probably won't eat restaurant ribs again! Rob
  15. So, how was the taste test? Rob
  16. xraydoc, you are the fuel to Bosceaux's fire!! Rob
  17. My guess is you won't be wrapping. The first thing you notice about kk cooks is the increased moisture. Rob
  18. At 250°, 5 hrs max!! Closer to 4 hrs. Rob
  19. The force is strong in that one, soon, he will feel the power of the dark side! Rob
  20. You can do it!!!!! Seriously, don't do anything to hurt yourself, or especially the grill!! Rob
  21. The feet are the widest point. I did the plywood thing, but no incline. You'll find that it rolls fairly easily, but every situation is different. Rob
  22. Yeah, the crate is fairly light, but cumbersome. I did the whole unpacking by myself, but it wasn't in a garage right next to another prized possession. Rob
