  1. I'm sure you love all your 'children' regardless of tile color. I will settle for one-of-a-kind.
  2. I think Tcoliver cooks with the gas burner sometimes.
  3. It has been popular here in Calif for a few years. Black Angus used to feature it on their menu for $8 or $9 and it was a steal. Then the cut started getting popular and they removed it from the menu. My first time with it was a very memorable meal. It was cooked to perfection and served sliced around a mound of black truffle risotto. It was a Sat nite special at a local restaurant, and I have seen never that restaurant feature it again. When I purchased it at a local grocery store, I did not care for their version of the cut. They cut it too thin and small.
  4. Boy RJ is going to be mad the idea was stolen before he had it. Wonder how he got his patent?

  6. I think it was Curly's cousin as well.....just cuz Curly hasn't been posting doesn't mean the cousins become DJs'! No matter who's cousin they are...Sanny has first dibbs!
  7. I quite like the new tile... How about Golden Midnight for the second?
  8. But it is so much more exciting to sneak around and have secrets! Have you told her you are moving to California to be closer to me? Just to stay on topic.....I have never used Dales seasoning!
  9. Are you teaching or in private industry these days?
  10. Johnnyboy....for some reason I was thinking the transition area was 3-5 feet and the strip width might be the same. I might re-think a little. It might be hard to use these two products together in a design since the tongue and goove and material thickness might not match up. Best to catch Dennis on this. You need to know if the products would be compatible for laying before you think about design patterns.
  11. Johnnyboy.....the solution may be an inlay or creative type design using both woods in the transition area.....like a hexagon or a star shape, or checkerboard design, possibly with small darkest wood (third accent color) at the top corners of the squares like you see in tile.
  12. Where hasSyzygies been? Haven't heard from him in quite a while?
  13. Hey Duk....you are gonna love how much better these komodos are.
  14. Very nice touch. I love the teak wood, great complement to the tile. I know where you can get some teak on sale too!
  15. Joe It sounds as though the lid might need to be re-positioned or re-set. Unfortunately I am not qualified to expalin it to you, but I believe there are instructions here on the forum for it.
  16. Hi Johnnyboy....good to see you back. How was the vacation. RE stainless carts: I believe mine came from Lowes or Home Depot or Costco....not sure. But it has a sink that can be connected to a hose, and the counters have fold up extensions. a bank of drawers...Some search terms are stainless carts, outdoor stainless carts. I also like the rustic cabinets made in Mexico from reclaimed wood. I've been thinking about ordering a hammered copper top for them. And one of these days Dennis might make us some out of teak. Didn't Dennis recently announce he was going to be handling some stainless stuff?
  17. Congratulations Dennis...You started out with some serious doubters (to say the least) and you proved yourself. Truly a great effort. Are there going to be any teak cabinets for the Kamado in the new products? It would complete my fantasy!
  18. I have the same plates Firemonkey. Did you get yours at the Mikasa factory store? Seeing how the local men are threatened by BBB, imagine how they would feel about the mikasa factory store. I see the wife's kamado is still in use.....and we wonder why you don't take more cooking pictures! Nice grub man. Motivated me to take out some ribeyes.

You might try some red wine cask smoking wood. Sometimes you can find it at BedBathBeyond.

  21. A least you didn't get the Spatchrat...
  22. Re: Charcoal Target ship dates.. YEE HAW!!!!!!! Great news. How much for the sample box? Just kidding of course...based on my experience as well as your other customers testimonials I would not need a sample. There is one upside to the Krap Koal from the Vegas gypsies.....there is plentiful material for the Kompost pile! Koal plus K marketing = Kompost.
  23. Re: Valentine's Dinner - bragging rights And what did you do for her? Jewelry? Gift certificate for a Spa Day? Flowers? Wash her car? A few chores on the honey do list?.......or are you a sub-prime Valentine?
