MacKenzie
Dennis, that bacon has my mouth watering, nothing beats bacon done on the KK and adding coffee wood to boot, has to be out of this world.
MacKenzie
Thanks to Tony B, I am ready with my motor, tubing and T connection. There was a PetSmart store about 200 miles from me and I had a friend pick up the necessary equipment so that when my new toy arrives I'll be all ready. I got this one, as it was the right flow rate recommended by Dennis. http://www.petsmart.com/supplies/air-pumps-air-stones/top-fin-aquarium-air-pump-zid36-16855/cat-36-catid-300087?var_id=36-16855&_t=pfm%3Dsearch%26pfmvalue%3Dfaceted Here's the tubing. I took the smoke gun piece with me so that I could make sure that it fit. It does. While it's silicon, I'm not sure about it's temperature rating. But for as cheap as it is, I'll give it a test run. http://www.petsmart.com/supplies/air-pumps-air-stones/top-fin-8-foot-silicone-airline-tubing-zid36-5098501/cat-36-catid-300087 Since the pump is a dual output, I also picked up this t-connection. I have enough tubing to splice the 2 outputs together with this and ensure maximum air flow to the smoker. http://www.petsmart.com/supplies/air-pumps-air-stones/top-fin-metal-t-valve-zid36-5098116/cat-36-catid-300087?_t=pfm%3Dsearch All tolled, I'm out less than $30 US. YMMV 3 Best to buy an "adjustable" air pump.. this lets you control the volume of the airflow.. If you add a three way valve sop you can bleed off some of the pressure and reduce the flow. BTW the outside diameter of the air pipe is 5 MM = 0.5 CM = 0.2 inches = 3/16".
Steve M
Made some pulled pork nachos tonight using the leftovers from the weekend. This may be the tastiest thing I have cooked on the kk so far. Certainly the best tasting nachos I ever ate. Used costco tortilla chips, pulled pork, pickled jalapeños, mexican cheese blend and Monterey jack. topped off with freshly made pico de gallo (using smoked tomatoes) and sour cream

Steve M
Thanks everyone. I'm noticing a trend on my cooks when I use the coffee charcoal. Not only does it have a wonderful aroma during the cook, it really imparts incredible flavor to the food. I don't want to run out of this stuff. qundoy
Baked a couple of loaves of sourdough this afternoon. Kooker is at temp. I folded sun dried tomatoes into one loaf and added sliced fresh jalapeno in the other. They were both very tasty.
