It is uncanny how they know when things are ready. The raccoons always came and tested a cob, if it wasn't quite they went away. Then just as it was ready they'd come and clean it out.
-
Your are not going to be run out of town but you might very well be mowed down when the results of taste test start pouring in.
-
Thanks, Randy. I gave up on corn on the cob because the raccoons would come and test it then just when I was about to get some they would come overnight and clean the whole thing out. :(
-
Thanks, Aussie, so far they have destroyed beehives that we had but that was many years ago, more recently they have only ripped down the two bird feeders that I was able to fix. Knock on wood they have not touched my garden. We never used to see bears and they have only become a problem in recent years. I believe it is because we have lost all the small farms in the area and a big outfit will come in and rent the land and grow huge crops of corn, there are acres and acres of corn normally. Good feed for the raccoons and bears. The outfit that was doing that went bankrupt this year and so far nothing has been planted. I guess we might have a lot of hungry critters. I am hoping they will move on. (The critters, that is.)

Made these mini baguettes for the first time this morning. The recipe only made 4. Now I need something to go with them so thought some very spicy beer sausages would do the trick. Plated.

Randy, it is going to be a fun experience and great eating for all involved.
-
Tony, it sounds like your weather is just as bad as mine. There is a risk of frost in low lying areas tonight. Who changed the June 15th deadline for frost I'd like to know.!!!
-
Tony, looks like you have some interesting eating in the works, I hope the sunshines so you can carry it off.
-
Not quite ready for Ora, yet.
-
That was quite the job.
-
Kevin H, you certainly has lots of great eats on the weekend, everyone is smiling ear to ear.
-
mohctp, you are over thinking this, relax, enjoy, the 32 is going to be awesome.
-
Awesome, with any luck I will see that first thing when I wake in the morning.

I am watching this with everything that I have and very much looking forward to it.[emoji4]

I see no problem with that except take out the foil. You are going to be so amazed at what you can do with your KK.[emoji4]
-
Exactly, tekobo.
-
Bruce, your pulled pork looks really tasty. Rice tomorrow.

I bet you don't miss the gasser.:)

Thank you, the deck is pressure treated 2x6s. I have it pressure washed every year and then I put a stain on with pad on the end of an extension rod. It goes on very quickly. I need to do it soon.[emoji4]Just in case you think the shine you see is part of the deck, it isn't, that shine is wet from a day of rain.

It was some day but the food made everything OK. Thighs marinated in Frank's Hot Sauce. Plated. Moist chicken interior.
-
Tony, we are at the opposite ends of the spectrum. Maybe we could meet in the middle.
-
@ tekobo, I hope you enjoy this method of gardening as much as I do. You might get to eat out of yours this summer where I might not, the temp. today is a whopping high of 13C with rain. This is the worst summer I can remember. Yes, we are always at risk of frost until the middle of June but normally we have gorgeous days with nice temps. I even put a fire on in the living room this morning.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate your comments.

BonFire, that is my sunroom, and it has a small woodstove for the winter to keep things toasty. I use it all year long, great views, peaceful and as you said serene even during the blizzards. It has windows all way round and I can see my KKs from my chair.

This is going to be an interesting watch, Bruce.
