I've had my grills for a few years now and never used the deflector and don't ever plan on using it.
  2. Great cook, Drew, I bet Nanny was very happy. LOL
  3. I totally side with your wife, amusedtodeath.:) Except they must be in Caesar Salad.
  4. Delicious, it all looks so very tasty.
  5. tekobo- "I'm loving home made pizza on the KK. A world away from store bought domestic oven versions!" I had the worst store bought pizza from a restaurant that is a pizza franchise. I wish I had taken pixs it was so awful, in fact it was so bad that I thought I should make a pizza take it in and show them what it is supposed to look like.
  6. They both look delicious and they both sound delicious and I'm guessing I'd prefer the German one.
  7. That would be good for supper, yummy.
  8. No trouble getting the KK up to temp. in the winter around here.
  9. Bruce that loaf looks tasted, you sure did a nice job on it.
  10. No, Bruce, the house is off limits. Actually once many years ago when we kept bees they came up to the hives that were on edge of the lawn and knocked them over and ate what they could. That was a fun day getting up seeing this mess and having to clean it up and get the hives back together before going to work. I can remember in the rush getting suited up not taking the time to tuck my pant legs in and needless to say they discovered the open bottoms and made the most of it. Talk about sore legs. Yikes.
  11. Drew, a very successful cook. You must be pleased.
  12. Too late.
  13. Gee, CK, a pizza cook on the weekend could lead to the work week of meals ready at the same time.
  14. Ribs and sausages and prime rib all look very tasty, jonj. Glad you have posting pixs figured out, hopefully we will see more of your cooks.
  15. CK, you mentioned that you should have a loaf of bread to go in after the pizza cook and it occurred to me that you could also have a casserole ready.
  16. Wow, what a fantastic first cook. You must be very pleased with those results. Love it.
  17. It depends upon how low you go in the freezer, right from 2015- Pork steak dinner, with creamed potatoes and corn. Sous vide the pork steak for about 5 hours at 139F. Put it in the fridge for the next day's dinner, something else came up. Next day seared on the KK and then put back in the sous vide bath to heat up. Plated. Other than it was a little dry it tasted just fine.:)
  18. Wow, that looks lovely, and look at that smoke ring, beautiful colour on everything.
  19. It is Sunday, is lunch ready?????????????????
  20. Exactly:)
  21. A rough idea how each will look- My vote is for the darker tile one. I see that in my rough work the scales are different, the KK in the second pixs looks larger but I think you still get the general idea.
  22. Oh my goodness what a tough decision. I think they are both gorgeous but I'd really need to see where you are going to put it to decide.
  23. I had to relearn an old lesson, I was at the market yesterday and the vendor assured me this corn imported from the US would score an 8 Or an 8.5 out of 10 when compared to fresh corn during the corn season. While it looked good, he must be using a different scale than I. I'd give it a 6 max.
