  1. Tomorrow I'll post the recipe. It is very tasty and anyone afraid of tofu could substitute chicken.[emoji4]
  2. Decided to smoke the tofu for a little extra flavour, used the pot with cherry wood for 1.5 hours at 330F. This is Thai tofu so it has some spices added. After 1.5 hours of smoking- Taste samples. Marinating tofu- Now for the veggies that get added to the sweet and sour stir fry- the mushrooms and the toasted cashews. Add the marinating tofu. Plated.
  3. I love smoking pot, I mean I love my smoking pot. That darn spell and grammar check.
  4. I don't think that would work but what would work is the new steel plate that Dennis is producing. That will sear your steak, your smashed burgers, a Neapolitan pizza, etc. The baking stone, makes great loaded pizza by allowing the top to cook at the same this the bottom cooks and it works great for baking bread, etc. Personally I love that baking stone, it does a fantastic job on things being baked, that is why it is called the "baking stone". I would not be without it.
  5. Dennis, I love your sense of humour, I only wished it applied to Canadians, I'm soooooooooooo jealous that I can't buy it in Canada. No fault of Dennis's, it's our government regulations.
  6. I can tell you what is eating my tomatoes, the raccoons. I have seen it on camera. This is the first time in all my years of gardening that they have eaten my tomatoes, corn, yes, they clean me out some years before I'd get even one cob to eat. Finally i gave up on the corn.
  7. John A, your KK is beautiful, stunning and you are sooooooooo going to enjoy it.:) Thanks for posting all the pixs looks like you didn't have to get it over and ledges or hill, a big bonus. Now all that's left is to fire it up and we know you have wood.
  8. John A, may I suggest for your first cook chicken pieces, thighs, breasts, legs or a mix. You'll be surprised at how moist the chicken will be.:) I hope all goes well with the delivery and that you get lots of pixs. We will be looking forward to seeing them, that is for sure.:)
  9. You are all in on this one.[emoji28] Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk
  10. That pulled pork looks beautiful. I would suggest not to let the water boil just try to keep the temp abovet the danger mark of 140F.
  11. When I first read your title, "Thought I would take a lamb for a spin" I thought it was an updated version of "Mary had a little lamb."
  12. churchi, naturally the test worked perfectly even though I deleted a pix. TapaTalk post is identical to forum post. The next time it happens I'll try to contact you. While we are at it I'm finding that 10 mins to allow for editing is a little too short a time, can that be extended a little?
  13. Thanks everyone. @tinyfish, I did keep the mushroom moisture in mind as I was making them, used dry Roma tomatoes and my pizza sauce was thick and I used it sparingly.
  14. Aussie, that dinner looks wonderful, moist and tasty I'm sure not to mention fun.:)
  15. I have not done this but it is what I would try, pull, put in vacuum sealed bags with some juice, vacuum seal and when you want to reheat put the bag in a sous vide bathat 148F for 45 mins. or so to heat up. That's my idea.
  16. Steve, I did enjoyed it, but I do like mushrooms, and they are easy and quick.:)
  17. A portabella pizza night here, dressed with onions, two kinds of cheese, Canadian Bacon, diced tomatoes and pizza sauce. Ready for the grill. On the grill. Baked at 350F for 45 mins.
  18. Ck, that sure is an interesting looking cook. Must have been some tasty flavours in that cook. Looks like you had a good time with this one. Sometimes it just nice to be able to take the time to cook something different and interesting. I know what you mean about trying to get rid of pixs that you have out of the order you want to post them and even if you do get them deleted your mistake still shows up on TapaTalk. ;(
  19. Thanks, ck, you are allowed to come late there were lots of leftover.
  20. Forget about the game I'm just coming for the awesome food.
  21. Tony, that is a beautiful dinner, everything looks soooooooooo tasty.
