The takeaway for me is that from now on I’m always going to cook my veggies in the cast iron pan after it’s been used for meat and the meat is resting. My wife was raving about the asparagus last night and this will be done with other veggies in the future

Cured a pork belly for breakfast bacon and today was the day to smoke it. I expect to slice and package it tomorrow.

In the bag on the way to the fridge for cooling. I'll put them in the freezer for an hour or 2 tomorrow morning before slicing.

Very nice!

I’m currently drinking an IPL I made, tastes so good in the warm weather.

Reckon that's my next cab off the rank- a hoppy lager for summer. Although living in Melbourne summer is an unpredictable beast which may show it's head intermittently from now up until late April!

It’s been really cool here in Perth too. Unusually wet and a lot colder than normal.

Try this IPL, it’s a clone of beer farm IPL, it’s sensational!

Beautiful MacKenzie! Sorry I couldn't be there. They arrested me at the border for carrying a giant bacon slicing knife. Your bacon really does look great!
